I ordered the OPTO-20C-HV oil pump from www.importperformanceparts.com and it wont fit the US market 7mge 1988 Supra oil pan.
Can you look at these pics and tell me what is wrong. I need feedback. This car is way up in Nova Scotia and I am in Florida trying to get my sons car a new engine.l Now i am stuck!!
What should I do now?? any feedback is welcome

They both look like 5mge pumps for a front sump cfg. Just use that other one from the blown 7mge or hit a junk yard.

BTW, the pictures could use more light.
No can do!! old pump destroyed that JDM engine.. DOnt ever use a used oil pump in a new engine..I learned my lesson once already.

I checked dealers and parts stores.. none! Its faster if i ship one from the US to Canada.Thats how I got in this mess to start with.

Yeah the new pump looks like any 5M pump (front sump) but you need the mid sump pump for 7M. This is assuming the engine is going in a MK3.
Otherwise you need the MK2 pump and pan. BTW what did this new pump cost? Are they going to take it back or are you selling it?

It cost me $209 plus shipping. I sure hope they take it back.. yes . this is going into a MK3. I hope they take it back. Otherwise it will go into my 7mgte/ Mk2 project. Right now its just a 5mgte project.

Thanks a bunch for your feedback.I need another set of eyes on this problem. The dealer who sold me this pump swears it is for the Mk3 domestic oil pan.

actually, that pump looks more like a 6m pump. The pickup is not quite far enough over to fit the 5m pan. I guess if you could get a 6m pan you would be in buisness ( i have both) but I know the 7m pan is already a tight fit underneath the MKIII so it probably won't work.
