Saw this at a local car show over the weekend. It kind of left me speechless.

I guess its supposed to be an "art-car". It looks like every modification that one could possibly install on the car, whether its even functional or not, go ahead and bolt it on. While it doesn't appeal to my personal tastes, all of the fabrication appeared to be pretty well done.

Looks like Shakotan + Bosozoku.
Can't say I've ever seen one setup quite like this.
Interesting.

I'm surprised it's also not slammed with huge negative wheel camber.

I love that it's an autotragic.

Pretty disappointed a matching door applique doesn't connect the 86 opposed-piston logo on the front fender to the black/chrome paneling on the rear fenders. I mean seriously, you gaudy-up the whole exterior of the car and forgot the friggin' doors aside from a probably-factory pinstripe? While not my cup of tea at all, don't half-ass the design. I'll give the benefit of doubt and assume they ran out of double sided tape.

I can see how you got there, but I disagree. Shakotan is about low cars with wide wheels, some styling flair and basic mods, but relatively unadorned otherwise. Bosozoku is wild custom body add-ons meant to evoke the turbo/aero production based racing cars from the 1980's into the 90's, but taken to the absolute maximum until comical. The above car certainly is comical... but in the PepBoys sick-on mods vein.

Here's a few examples of cars that are very representative of the Shakotan style:

Oh boy...

Here - I will call it -
"American pep-boys chrome out + Michael bays Transformers + boredom + any and all addons to piss off all car cultures probably as a joke"

Does that work better?

Either way it's unique and is owned by someone that enjoys lots of attention.

How much additional weight do you think was added to the original vehicle?
Can't be as bad as Dekotora trucks in India, Pakistan, Japan ect...
