toyota pickup tranny question

Ok so i got a 1980 pickup with a 1984 22R engine and transmission in it. it is a 5spd and 4x4. the tranny is bad. could someone tell me if a tranny from a 93 5spd 4x4 22re would work in its place? i can not find the tranny code any where on the bottom. or if you guys could tell me what i could use in its place. looking this up for a friend is any help would be great.

the tranny will bolt right up! i believe the transfercase you have will swap onto the newer tranny also... but I'm not 100% on that.
