haha i only think it looks like a japanese cop car with the wite top and darker bottom colour :p
poor supra had to stay outside cause of paint fumes and i live above the garage, painted the car at work but cant bring it into the garage before its hardned/does not smell..

soo first of i swapped the rear main seal, the segpot bearing, mounted flywheel with arp hardware and got the act clutch installed

engine and box in, need to finish fuel and water

fuel reg mounted up and all fuel lines finished, missing a AN8-AN8 in at the pumps and a few block offs on the tank, filler neck and im ready to test the system...

new plan with water, im running it inside to keep it away from the 3,5" exhaust thats taking alot of room in the tunell

i think it looks fairly clean

water done, just need hose clamps and mount the radiator

done in the front aswell, added a inline thingy for my old Omori guages

and can finally install electrics... so thats next

Looking good!

Even with the armor on those fuel lines, you should either use rubber grommets where it goes through the body, or make brackets on either side so the lines can't move independently of the body at all. Just normal small vibrations can wear through that armor with enough time. Have a buddy who lost a car to fire from not doing this.

thanks for the heads up, not done there yet, migth need to expand the hole to get the power steering line and return there aswell so might just use the same shit as in door openings arround the hole..?

anyways im in dead due to slow progress, just alot of stuff to do thats not really that intresting and alot of other projects taking time..
time to take engine out to prepp it for final install

cleaning this shit and mounted it back on

waterpump and timing belt all set
ac and p/s delete from driftmotion, just waiting of a belt tensioner from a friend and im all done in the front

i have to run a "spacer" for the turbo, its just another t4 flange, but then i needed longer studs. so had to re-thread the manifold and mount stock JZ exhaust studs, hoping i can get this to seal with 2 gaskets, one over and one under the spacer...? had to space it up to get enough clarance for the oil return

NGK Audi coils arrived

plugs

finished the harness for the engine aswell

this is with everything hooked up, managed to hide all the wires pretty good :D

and 1,1 meter downpipe is perfect, 30 degree 3,5" bend here and im golden :D

hoping to for a startup pretty soon, like a few weeks, a bit more work on the tank and fuel system, alot more electical to do, finish all the water system and intercooler piping and then im ready!

engine in for good, i hope.. untill it breaks haha
i was just standing in the shop looking at the car for like half an hour, it looks soo good now!

finished electrical shit and all the fuel lines.. time to test the fuel system

made a block off for the guage cluster, since i turned the tank on the side its useless

pushed the car out to test the fuel system, had to tigthen a few but all good now!

all all wires essential to startup done ,it cranks and and should start but im getting to signal from the crank and cam sensor.. i dont have a laptop so i had to make my brother use his lol, went out of power before we could fint the fault, but startup is probly one small wire or sensor away!

haha thanks, i can sin in the garage for a long time and just stare, im pleased!
got my last bits of silicone hose to complete the IC piping, need to weld in so i can get my IAT in the pipe after the IC but aint happening now, broke my cup for my tig yesterday haha

since ma61 have a super short throttle wire i had to use ae86, not same at all haha
a bit of filing an made it fit, im using a volvo throttle pedal since tunnel is in way for stock, so need to make something there to hook up the wire, and there is no place to mount the cable on the intake, and the cable is too big for the sr20 throttle body haha

made a little bracket and filed a bit on the end and made it all fit and go with good angels and no sound, just need to make something in the other end... its soo frustrating with this build, nothing fits at all so just a small thing like throttle cabe takes a whole evening...

now i need alot of hose calmps to finish my cooling system... and planning to make all new brake lines and clutch lines pretty soon, nothing left on the car, and i have hanging pedal box inside the car so a bit of work hehe...
i want this thing dynoed soon!!!

thanks! done alot of other stuff but still managed to get a little done in easter even tho i had a vacation ...
my colleague had a set of R888 laying, picked them up cheap

mmmm, also painted this center sticker red.. i need red stickers

dat camber when only half the tire gets dust from the garage floor on it

did the front brakes, missing some nippels, orderd them today soo little wait for the rest

looks strange without fender haha

had a friend over who builds high end stuff, he though me something smart with the cooling system, when blocking off the heater, take re-route the heater hose from the head to the return line in such a way that it sucks hot water from the head aswell... instead of just blocking it off... where the water returns from the heater i just blocked off
now i just need a hell of a lot of hose clamps

serpentine tensioner fitted with p/s and a/c delete and fitted a ribbed wheel to the tensioner to use it "inside" the belt

pushed out, ready for startup but no start... i have ignition and fuel but not the rigth timing.. i need help lol, it backfired and it was like 2x the sound of a shotgun, 3,5" stainless downpipe straigth into the ground
my tuner adviced my to switch for a missing tooth trigger instead of the 12theeth wheel i have now.. because it migth make ignition problems when not using both cam sensors..

flame threathed my hydro brake a bit to get rid of the new look
and bruned inn some writing in japanese
also need to grind the wheld and paint it but naaah not today

finally spring is here so i cleaned up the garden and scrapped my parts car

chopped off the roof just in case i roll over with the racecar haha, about the only thing thats left stock

almost havent done anyting to the supra for a few months and i feel really bad, i'v gotten sooo mad at the engine management that i cant get rigth and dont understand a shit of that i just forgot that the whole stupid supra exists.
in the meantime i have filled the water system and checked for a few leaks, fixed some but need to drain it and reweld some..
and i swapped the main trigger from 12 thooth to 32-2, and thats about it... in 2 months..

got myself a forklift that was not running, a few days later its in running and working condition

flathead from detroit

time to clean up haha, couted to over 100 tires/wheels at the garage all over the place...

dont alot of other things in the meantime, sold one of my ae86s and bougth a chaser in the UK

had a long roadtrip getting it home , 8 countries haha
here is a pic from belgiu

only had the chaser for about a week, i love it! almost stock aswell!
also took my shitty 150hp e36 to a drift event

weakes, shittiest and worst car at the event, still got 3rd place haha

soo i feel i have a valid excuse for not doing anything to the supra for a few months but the hope is to drive it before winter! so i must start soon

Yup, nothing like aftermarket standalone gremlins to grind a project to a halt. Many end up having to hire a shop at this point, or finding a local pro to help out. Some of the units out there have decent costumer service now too, forgot what you're running.

Don't feel bad, you generally get done in 2 months what I get done in 2 years (since having a kid anyways).

My tuner specifically said to keep the 12 point wheel. I trust him.

If you trust your tuner, let him set it up for you.

Your new drift car is just to good to beat the crap out of!

The word of the week is SHITIEST. HA HA!!!!
I have the shitiest house on my block and the shitiest yard.
I don't have a pile of tires anywhere. You do.

I'll bet you never dreamed of owning a fork lift.

haha the forklift is my best investment ever, soooo handy
look, almost finished with the lines, apart from it leaking, found out i have the wrong nippels out of the pumps, too short so they butt out before they compress the line in the bottom, gotta get new ones and it should be good :D just missing the hardline form the hydro and back to the rear wheels now!

im soo close but still sooo far, im so fed up with this not starting and i live 3 hours away from my tuner and dont have a trailer license so i kinda orderd a stock 1j vvti from japan, will be going stock power at first.. its more than plenty to learn the car then ill get this shit running ( probly with a different computer)

why buy one 1j vvti when you can buy 2?

soo my dad kind of fell in love with my chaser and the engine, so he wanted a 1j and a R154 to put in one of his 60's toyota crowns. so he just gave me the money and told me to get one haha, when i was ordering his i was like, hmm why not order 2, ill save alot on taxes ect anyways so not too expencive, i just got a auto one without gearbox anyways.. 4th JZ engine im getting from japan haha
while i wait for my engine i gotta do something.. sooo first trackday with chaser soo fun even tho its 100% stock apart from steering wheel, seat and coilovers... still running stock intercooler and i can feel it looses power when its really hot ouside and i have tracked it for a while.. so i need to get a front mount once its registerd and all good with the papers

"chaser" literally

10 rear tires later and im out of tires, time to wheel home on the best tires left haha

trucklife

aaaaaand, got a invite for a trip to japan with some friends.. 2 days later i own a 180sx drift missile at ebisu, will be going for fall matsuri in novemer, hoping to drive the supra before i head of to japan
