Hey all, i'm going to be putting the celica back on the track soon(just for fun nothing serious) so i am going to pick up a spare set of rims/tyres for the back, my question is since its got 15s on it now do i need to buy another set of 15s?? would the car handle any different with 15s on the front and 14s on the back?? or does it not really matter what sizes i use??

I only ask because 14s are very very cheap and very easy to get.

Yeah i thought it would be abit dodge using 14s and 15s, So now the plan is to just find another full set of factory rims to use for the track.

So now the question becomes would a full set of 14s or 15s be better??

No not drags circuit racing or roadcourse whatever u wanna call it. I dunno what its like in the US but here you can pay $40(US 20) and just race round against whoever else is there at the time, $45 gets you like 4hours track time or $75 gets you all day its pretty good really.

So you think 14s would be better because you can use wider tyres?

go with 15x8.... 15's got a lot of wide selection of tires... rather than the 14's its is hard already to get 225/60R14 to be available locally

4 hours? Yeah you better get spare tires. If you DRIVE the car, 4 hours is enough to end a set of track compound tires.

Jay is right. More selections the bigger diameter.

In the paper there is a set of factory celica wheels + tyres for 100bucks so i might just pick those up.

HAHA yeah i don't think i would actually spend 4hours on the track maybe just like half an hour or something just think of the costs in petrol, brakes, tyres i would need a pit crew.
