Any one have an idea what could be causing a water leak that seems to start from the input to the water pump. The hose and housing look good as well as the pipe that runs along the head. Any ideas would be appreciated.

its possible you have a small leak somewhere around the waterpump/engine joint, and its running along the surface of the pump until it comes to the hose, where it drips down.
ive seen a few like that before, and theyre annoying as hell to find.

probably gonna end up taking the pump off and getting a new gasket, but i would get a new pump at the same time, if your gonna go to all that work :)

this exact thing happened to my sister's eunos v6 here in australia...please for your own sake replace the pump and gasket!
Her seal was leaking the same way yours is, and it then blew properly on a highway, cooked the car and bent both heads...$2800 AUD later it has a new water pump and is running again...
