So i just bought my first mk2 supra and its got this weird lighting issue were the lights dont turn off unless i turn the cd player off. umm... yeah i dont even know where to start to fix the problem

A good start would be, installing the CD player right, or paying someone else to do it right. Sounds like you got some wires mixed up. Better fix it now or you'll have a fire.

That's kinda strange. Either the CD player was installed incorrectly, or when it was installed, there were a couple wires shorted together.

Find a wiring diagram and find out which wire(s) is/are hooked up to the CD player that shouldn't be. Or what wires are crossed under the dash, that shouldn't be.

Or if you're not up to it, find someone who can do it. Something's wired wrong.

There is a wire in the factory radio harness that powers just the lights in the factory radio. If that wire is fed power through the CD player, then it will power your car's lights. Cut and isolate that wire, and your problem is fixed.
