I know it threads onto the side of the thermostat housing and has two vacuum lines connected to it. I am missing this piece and was wondering if fabricating is a viable option. Thanks, everyone!
It's a BVSV, and they're still available new from Toyota and aftermarket. Part number for 85 and up is 90925-05068. You can search that number on rock auto and it pops up a couple of aftermarket options. They're used on most 80 and 90s Toyotas.
ah, i see! thanks for the reply, is it possible to temporarily block off the spot for it and plug the hoses? i'd assume it would just disable the EGR system right? could it be bad for the health of the 5M?
It's to allow the evap system charcoal canister to purge fuel vapor into the intake manifold once the engine is warm. My suggestion is to replace it but if you don't want to then plug the hole and connect the vac lines together.
haha.. this is just some random picture I found online, I assure you'd be horrified if you saw my engine bay!
