I just got my AC in working condition (thanks entirely to Jeff Tamulis), and I can't for the life of me find an R-134a fitting to replace the one he's letting me borrow. We put the freon into the port by the AFM, which has a small diameter fitting with a fine thread. Assuming that that *is* the low side, *no one* carries a low side fitting with this thread size. Is that actually the high side?

I'm confused... Anyone who has an R-134a conversion, help me out! :)

Oh, and :new-bday: to me!!! :turn-l:

which side is the low side? where are you suppose to add the freon at?
thank!
fat pipe is the lowside and you add freon into that pipe. you try adding it to the skinny pipe and you may end up with peices of metal in your face. the highside pressure ranges from 200-250 and lowsode from 35-45. big difference
