Well I got back from my months vacation and decided to take the Mk2 out for a spin - I've gone a few miles and WTF my heat gage skyrockets to red zone in about a half a block and the street is paved with Toyota red mix. A quick inspection shows my bottom rad hose blew right off the outlet - well its a long walk to a service station for coolant and distilled water - longer to crawl under the car - take the spash guard off and reconnect the hose - then off to home to relace the clamps with some heavy duty screw type - anyway I now have a pefectly clean spash guard and engine bottom - should have done that when I detailed the top end.
