This is a very difficult question to answer since all the cars ive owned have been 85 mk2 supras. IF i had to choose id choose my SDR 5spd. and i am thinking of purchasing another one.

Best... Hmm, I'd have to say my 84 P-type Supra. Until it was stolen that is. :bad-word:

Next runner up would be a 89 Toyota Corolla GT-S. One rather impressive car considering it was a 1.6 liter 4 banger. Easily ran 150 MPH acording to the speedo. 8)

Best car I've owned is my 1990 Ford TBird v6. Had it since I turned 16. Parents bought it new in 90 and I took over payments in 93. Car now has 319k. The term "drive it like you stole it" applied to it sincee the day it drove off the lot. No problems except a tranny rebuild and 2 bhg's. Crashed it into a mountain at 50mph, and pops crashed it into a guardrail at 65mph. Thing is a frickin tank!

And the best part is...I can count the number of oil changes its had on both hands (7 to be exact)..with 319k... :crazyeye:
dont worry, it's the only car I've done that on.

What? Do you think anyone's gonna say anything other than a Supra? I like my Supras best of all. They look cool. Perform pretty decently and most of all, they fit me like a glove. Another favorite car other than the Supra I had a 80 Mercury Capri all through high school, college and a few years beyond that my dad bought for me used with 30,000 miles in 85. It had its problems tho. A couple of bent valves at 42,000 miles and again at 76,000 and diff went out about 87,000, rebuilt the carb 7 times, factory paint faded and had to get a respray in 88, and those damn TRX tires cost $140 each and barely lasted 20,000 miles. I sold it in 93 with 102,000 miles and the first signs of some tranny problems. Despite all that, I miss that Capri - always wanted to put a 351W in it. I thought the Capri at that time looked so much cooler than its Mustang cousin.

The old dog. I beat that car into the ground, and it kept on going. Dunno if it was the 'best' car I had, and it certainly wasnt the fastest or most expensive...but I think that will be my fav car of all time. :drinking:

210,000 miles, original suspension (I need a weekend to put on my Koni Yellow shocks, Dobinsons springs, Whiteline swaybar, and Cusco strut tower bar), JDM 7M-GE motor, W58 manual transmission, fully loaded sport-lux sedan weighing in at about 3350lbs.
I love this car.

You're all gonna kick my ass on this one....

'85 Honda Civic Hatchback. 4-speed. Driving highway between Buffalo and NYC I was getting 50mpg. No kidding. She didn't go fast, but she always went. Snow, rain, heat, whatever. I loved that car. At one point I had her at 95mph, going down a long steep hill. Not a lot of power, just a damn good college car.

Is this a trick question  MK2 RULES :!: :!:

But I agree with Phil about the mercury capris...I had one also but an 82. I always prefereed it to the mustang cousin. It even handled decently and thankfully didnt have the bubble back.

so far my best car has been a ford ranger.

good solid truck, no power options, rubber floor mats, shitty mileage and enough power to destroy tiburons, intrepids, v6 pony cars, auto v8 convertible ponys, and most anything else thats not a newer sports car.
hell, its even taken out a couple mkIIs, and a few older 300zxs.

my supra, i cant comment on, cause ive never driven it.
other supras... i just love, so i think my favorite will change as soon as my engines are swapped over. :)

As of right now I would say my 92 Acura Legend, 4 doors, lots of room, leather, comfy, quiet, 3.2L V6, topped out around 140 and did it all with rock solid stability and great looks. It was fast, but my celica will outcorner it already and I haven't even finished the suspension, and once my engine is done I think my GTS will be my favorite car.

Right now, the 85 Redpra holds this distinction. 277K miles & still going.. Has the usual normal wear + tear items, but nothing major has crapped out. And I still get the usual comments that my car looks like it only has 100K on it.

The 81 Silver Slug has to earn this distinction at the moment. Still too early after 11 months of ownership.

Beyond that, the only other car that I enjoyed (but did not own) was my Dad's 1969 AMC Rambler American. 3 on the tree, which was THE car that I learned to drive a stick on, and the 232 CI 6cyl was actually a pretty fast motor for that body style... Didn't have to press the go pedal very far, before I was doing 80.... :D

An 85 Honda Accord. It had 428000kms, when the driver seat bracket rotted out (I was driving it slow). I got it when it had 150000, never changed the timing belt or the clutch. I changed breaks and tires. Thanks it. ... and oh yeah, oil change every 10-12k. This car never let me down.

Well, if you're talking about family, my family did own a benz before.

Currently my family's best car is a maxima. The second and third car is an integra and my 84 supra.

I still think my supra has the best looks out of all 3 of the cars. It looks mean and has flips that look like evil eyes.

I've owned a '66 Ford Anglia, a '71 Vauxhall Victor, a '78 Triumph Dolomite, a '71 Austin Minor pickup, a '78 Ford Fiesta, a '76 Ford Granada, an '80 Mitsubishi L200 pickup, a '75 Vauxhall Magnum, a '76 Ford Granada (another one), an '85 Austin Montego, an '83 Volvo 760, an '82 Toyota Celica, an '84 Vauxhall Cavalier, an '83 Toyota Celica Supra, and a '91 Mazda 323f GT, (plus 12 motorcycles) and I've loved every one of them.

The mk2 is the best though, obviously :D
