i am building a spl supra and was wondering whats the loudest supra u guys have seen i do db drags and have hit 153db so for with no wall with 4 12inch splmuels and 2000+watts i am going for 160db+ in a wall next year with 2 18s and 2000 more watts i really want the worlds loudest mk2 supra i think i might be near allready i have not heard of any mk2 louder then mine but the 2 18s and 5000w next year will be something to look out for

I work at one of the loudest shops in the world (3 time db drag world record holders). We have built 2 mkII supras for db drag and unfortunatley they do not get off. One of them that we built had 4 Shocker Extreme 15s and 8 Ample 1200dx's in a wall for ss3-4 and the best number we ever posted was a 158.9 on a termlab setup. I just finished building my mkII with a ss1-2 no wall, using 2 Audiobahn 1500q's and 1 audiobahn a5000spl amplifier. and I could only get the car to do 150db on the audio toolbox which is apoximently 3-4 db up from the old termlab setup. an I have a 12 cubic foot box with 100sq in. of port 22 3/4 in. deep so the enclosure is okay. There is some thing about the shape of the car that wont let it get off.

i am hafe way done makeing my sub wall for my 4 mules and dam it pounds hard :shock: have to get it on a meter 150+ i hopeing i still have to block off a few spots then its a true wall i will get some pics when i can :wink:

Personally I think if the stereo was meant to be heard outside the car the speakers would be on the outside, not the inside.

I like my music loud but I always turn it down when I am at a stop light so other people dont have to listen to my crap.

I know it bugs me when fatboy slim pulls up in his hydrolic impala playin somthing that I cant understand.

Besides, putting in enought equipment to hit 150db would drop my 1/4 time to like 30 seconds!

i like my music loud, and while i realize im no where near 150db, maybe 130ish

been a while since i had the old beast tested.

mine once was at 190db at 10 feet....but it was not my stereo it was my exaust when i had no cat or muffler on it when it was NA

Are you sure about 190dB? 180dB is as loud as a space shuttle taking off at the launch pad. What brand of meter was that measured on?

On that site......Now don't take this wrong, The installs look very good. BUT am I correct in assuming that in the 2nd page of the 2003 installs what I'm seeing is a tank of Nitrous mounted between two subs over top of a Television????????!!!!!!!!!!! What the Hell inspired that?! Or did you guys do it just because you could?

The kid already had the juice installed in the car when we got it. So we had to incorperate it into the car somewhere. I had thought about mounting it strait into the bow but it would have taken up too much space in the enclosure and would of had an adverse effect on the woofers performance. And the tv was done just because we could. :multi:

so what do you guys think so far keep in mind it just a test install i meter it toyday at 150.4 at 47 hz i have i bit more to get back where i was but i have way more low bass then when i did 153 it at 58hz
