you might be leaning out or the timing is not right

Install a wideband O2 sensor so that you know what the combustion is doing.... and check your timing or might as well buy a BTM so that at least lessen the cause of detonation....

Its worth paying a few dollars than blowing up an engine....

not really.... there is a point of leaning out that you wont even hear a knocking sound.... check it very well before running it again hard
