Is there a rubber alternative then using then the metal weather seals fitted to the front and the back wind shilds?

Are you talking about the moulding trim around the window or the actual rubber window seals? There is nothing metal in the window seals TMK. For the moulding trim Toyota is the only source I know of. I guess you could probably fit something, but it would probably look bad after a lot of work. The back window seal you are probably stuck with Toyota, which is discontinued in the US. The front windshield is sealed/glued in with generic windsheild urethane. HTH
