Disconnect it if you're not planning on running it. If you start it up every couple of weeks and let it warm up I'd just leave it connected.
Winter Storage
Hey guys, i'm going to be putting my MKII into storage for the winter. I was wondering if i should leave the battery connected or not. Anything else I should know?

I leave mine connected. I start mine up every once in a while, for about 10-15 minutes. I wouldn't leave it on for more than that..
Depends where you are storing it.
Some storage places will make you disconnect and remove the battery for fire/safety reasons. They don't want to risk 40 cars going up in smoke due to some electrical short starting a fire in one of the cars.
