please, only post direct questions regarding this GB in this thread, or a request to add yourself to the 'unofficial' list

here is the low down:

I discussed with Ron at HPF the possibility of running a short shifter GB through them, now that the solid motor mount GB is concluded

this shifter is the JK v2 shifter, which i guess they farm out to get made

the pricing i was offered is as follows (in USD, shipping extra, probably ~7 in continental us, and ~20 for canada)

1 - 10 278.20 each

11 - 15 267.50 each

16+: 246.10 each

the deadline for this GB is going to be the 30 of june, the payment system will work as follows:

-to reserve a shifter, you can send me a money order for 246.10 per shifter, or paypal me 246.10 + 2% per shifter BY JULY 16 (so make sure you put it in the mail at least a week before, if you are going that route) make sure you include your full address with payment so i can get a shipping quote

-after the 16th of july, i will total the number of shifters and get shipping quotes for everyone, and at that point everyone who has reserved a shifter will owe me money for shipping, as well as the extra cost of the shifter if we do not reach 16 orders, or if the price changes (unlikely)

-once i have recieved all the second payments (by money order or paypal + 2%) i will pay for the shifters and they will start shipping

Just curious... with the June 30th payment deadline, what would be the timeframe for us to receive the shifters?! Looking to get them before the Vegas meet!!

Just curious why do you need a 2% charge on paypal. I thought that was only for credit card transfers?

This shifter is top quality guys. Agatha has a Jim King short shifter. It's very nice. Hardly have to move the shifter at all to get to the next gear. The gates feel much closer together, so be carefull when you're learning it for the first time. I've never missed a shift yet though... *knock on wood*

to answer some questions

will the price go down with more than xx orders?
-it will not decrease after the 16 order mark is reached, but i will ask if we get alot of payments

when will i get the shifter?
-after the deadline, i will calculate shipping costs for everyone, then after i recieve the second set of payments they will be ordered - call it a month to 6 weeks after the GB deadline

whats with the 2 percent?
-only if you pay thru paypal with a credit card, is this required

what should i include in the paypal email/snail mail letter?
-real name, address, CS.com screen name, email

In my opinion, yes. Even for other cars, I have yet found an aftermarket shifter
of this quality, feature and price.

Ok, stupid question (flame suite on), but do you still have to upgrade the shifter bushing if getting this JDK V2 short shifter (I remember reading posts in the past about replacing the stock red shifter bushing for a stiffer green truck bushing................. something along those lines) or does the shifter already take this into account?
