I have taken pictures prior to sending the complete tail lights..
Show me your pictures proving my poor shipping and poor discription.
Next time you want to bad mouth somebody who was giving you a $#^@*(@!Q steal of a deal I would suggest you have all of your bases covered.

 

u have taken pictures which i have not seen. i trusted that u knew what "minty" was. i will take my own pictures. i have far more credibility on this forum and have been around alot longer then u. my reliability and trust as a seller and as a buyer is more then enough for any member on here to believe what comes out of my mouth. you know what u need to do.

 

dispute has been filed through paypal.

 

Again you have not submitted photos, your lack of doing so in a timely manner shows that something isn't correct and that you are trying to stall while you create the damage that you implied was my doing.
Your time invested in this site has nothing to do with the issue at hand. A theif is a theif even if they worked at the bank before the robbery.

I will not submit my photos until you submit yours. Simply because I don't want there to be any chance you alter mine and repost as your own.

I say, just chalk this up as a lesson learned and never ever do any sort of business with him again. There will be other parts that come around from a reputible seller again.

 

no you need to submit yours first so we can tell you dont doctor his or yours for that matter and id believe resto over you anyday. why would he create damage to a set of minty tail lights to begin with and for all we know he could post the broken taillights you sent him and you would download a picture of mint lights and put them in its place (sorry for breaking the rules mods but that's ridiculous that people like this scam our community)

 

why the fuck would i want to smash a good set of tails? i wanted to swap my tails for the later style. there is no reason once so ever that would make me break the lights/parts and casue this drama.

and yes time invested in this site does mean something. u would know if you had any reputation. ive been to meets. met alot of members. showed what kind of person i am, and have a creditable backround.

i just want my money back so that i can get another set. i have no reason to piss u off by breaking them on purpose. think about it.

 

I thought in these reviews, that they were only reviews and not discussions. ie...........this person is a bad seller................but the other person couldn't respond in the review. hey fast springs sends someone else your photo and they'll hold on to it till 83 restomod posts his.

 

This is pretty simple boys... take a step back and try not to let emotion cloud judgement.

Fast.... post up your photos now to prove you didnt misrepresent condition. Theres no downside to revealing your photos at once.

Assuming they were in perfect shape prior to shipping, the fact is they are now broken.

Resto will have to provide evidence they are damaged, and when he does... some form of remediation is due.

Im guessing the package was not insured. Resto shld have insisted upon insurance.

But Fast must assume responsibility for inadequate packing as well.

brian's a stand up guy. i highly doubt he would smash a set of tail lights just to screw somebody.

 

he is also a supra enthusiast. Wouldnt ever break a set of minty tails just for something like this.

 

I have yet to meet either, I have sold a digidash to FastSprings without a hitch, but then again, gave away a piece of moulding to Brian because I trusted him, and knew that it would be a bigger gain than a loss. He asked me if I had taillights, I had some with minor cracks/chips, but then found more damage. I doubt that Brian would go through all this trouble to then just break them. We will see with eithers proof.

 

took pics of the lights today as promised.

 

if those are mint, id hate to see what a crappy pair look like. on the plus side, the lenses still look good so they can be salvaged.

 

Damn Bryan my rear lights are in way better condition and mine are certainly not minty. I hope you get this resolved. Btw did you end up selling your coilovers?

yeah the tails suck. the sad part is the black trim is was always brakes and is the hard part to find. the deff of minty is getting tossed around too much on here by ppl with no experence with these cars. (not saying im a pro but i do have alot of real world experence from my own build)

Thanks for the Pics as those tails are no where close to what we call mint condition. What was the packaging like when you recieved them? Not for sure of the cost but he should have insured them even if it wasnt discussed between the 2 of you. Mint parts "ALWAYS" get insured due to shipping neglect and he should have Known this if he was as bad about these cars and parts as we are.

Now we have your Pictures, Let see his Pictures prior to shipment and not 3 or 4 months before. Im going to look in my Stash and see if I still have the Set of tails, If I do then I will shoot you a PM.

 

thanks Robert, (i just sent your parts today that u asked for). anyway as for packaging i did find 1 (just one) piece of the black surrounding trim that broke off on the lights so that one was due to the shippment but all the other would have been prior to shipping. they were packed in a good size box and had 1 layer of bubble wrap (but that would not of protected the corners) and a bunch of the brown paper. the lights could still move around in the box. insurance was not discussed as i always put it on anything i send just in case, like u said on anything minty its just implied.

 

1 Layer of Bubble wrap isnt going to cut it. If you can sit there and shake the box around and the parts shift then he is responsible for fixing it. Those "MINTY" tails should not move at all in any box and they should have atleast 2 or 3 Layers of bubble wrap around them to include making sure that the box is fully packed and tight.

It just good Business to do the right thing. Looks like we (Myself also) have learned not to purchase anything from a non replicable member on the forum. If you remember I bought the Oil filter relocation Kit from a Newbie and the SOB super glued it together after he cracked it and then sold it saying that it was in Perfect condition.

Fast: Fix this, Bad packaging and Misdiscription of Items is a Definite NO GO on this forum. Now its your turn to Post up Pics for your Said "MINTY" tails.

 

Glad to hear you have them on your car now. I also have the header in my car too. Big differance compared to the stock manifold.

Scott, alot of this is about questioning my reputation as a seller. ppl are posting up in support as i have made many transactions over the years and had no problems with anyone. its simply showing FastSprings that i again have no reason to vandalize parts.

 

I am not trying to say that, I am just stating why things were deleted and the reasons why.

These threads can go pretty far to the extreme quickly and I would hate to see that happen when the two parties are influenced or driven to the point of extremes.

I know the charactor of you, by having met you and see your posts.

 

I just bought a side view mirror from FastSprings. I paid via paypal, 3 days later it arrived, in exactly the way he described it. He also did a supreme job packaging it and protecting it with shredded newspaper. I'd buy from him again.

 

Thats great. Now if he would post up some Pics and fix this Dispute Im sure alot of People wouldnt mind Purchasing from him. Its the small things that screw up reputations and its not only on this forum.

 

It doesnt really matter...either way it is the sellers responsability to package the items in whatever way neccessary to get them to there destination in good shape...Especially if there is no insurance on the package. Package the item good and save your ass.

 

If the buyer refuses insurance though that's their bad. I believe the seller is allowed to issue a I will pack it as best I can, but if it is damaged then.......... kind of statement. Really how much would shipping insurance be on these items?

All this makes me want to almost pass on shipping a carbon fiber hood to the east coast.

Fastsprings needs to send in his pics he said he had, or fess up.
